What sort of question is that?! Isn’t Sceptre the place where you’re supposed to…stake on Sceptre?! You would think so, but actually staking on Sceptre is no longer limited to the Sceptre app alone; integrations now allow you to stake FLR or wFLR and get sFLR in return directly on other platforms as well.
Whether you stake directly on the Sceptre app or through an integrated platform, the benefits remain the same: you'll receive sFLR based on the current exchange rate and automatically accrue staking and delegation rewards, as well as FlareDrops, even if you’re using the sFLR on a protocol to earn additional yield.
Keep in mind that regardless of where you choose to stake, you will pay a 4.4% fee if you do it during a buy-in period (click here to know more). All unstaking must also be done on the Sceptre app, although there are many ways to receive the wFLR you’ve accumulated without going through the unstaking process.
Staking on Sceptre
The most straightforward way to stake on Sceptre is…on the Sceptre app. Simply connect your wallet and enter the amount of FLR or wFLR you wish to stake. You’ll receive an amount of sFLR in your wallet in accordance with the current exchange rate, and you’ll be able to use those tokens across the Flare network while accumulating staking rewards and FlareDrops on Sceptre (click here to know more).

Staking on Kinetic
If you plan to use Kinetic and need sFLR, you can get it directly from Kinetic, but it might not be obvious at first. When you supply FLR or wFLR to Kinetic, those tokens are staked on Sceptre, something Kinetic informs you about.

So technically you’ll be staking on Sceptre when you supply wFLR or FLR to Kinetic. You’ll also receive sFLR in your wallet which you can supply to Kinetic to earn additional yield.
Staking on Luminite Wallet
The latest method for staking on Sceptre is available through the SparkDEX Luminite wallet. Luminite is designed for everyone on the Flare Network. It provides an end-to-end solution for veteran users, but it's also incredibly beginner-friendly. New users can take their first steps by purchasing FLR with cash or transferring crypto directly to their new wallet.
Sceptre is seamlessly integrated into Luminite, making it easy to find within the "Earn" tab. Here, you can currently access a few opportunities, such as "Stake FLR," with more options surely on the way.

You'll feel right at home on the next screen, as it works just like the Sceptre app. You'll have dedicated tabs for Staking and Unstaking, plus a Requests tab to easily manage any unstaking requests you've placed. A helpful countdown timer is also included to show you how much time is left in the staking period.

With a variety of options now available, you can now choose the method that best suits your needs and comfort level when staking on Sceptre. Having Sceptre integrated on other protocols also makes it easier for newcomers to explore the DeFi side of the Flare Network while providing everybody with an accessible way to grow their assets.
