Step 1: Acquire MPC and gas tokens

To stake MPC on Sceptre, you'll first need to acquire MPC tokens and ensure they are in your connected wallet. There are several convenient ways to acquire MPC tokens. The easiest option is through zkCross, Partisia's native decentralized exchange, which supports direct purchases using multiple fiat currencies or allows you to swap popular cryptocurrencies like ETH, BNB, POL, USDC, or USDT for MPC. You can also purchase MPC directly from a MPC/USDT market available on MEXC and KuCoin

In addition, you will need a token to pay for the small gas fees required to process transactions on the Partisia Network. Thanks to Partisia’s BYOC (Bring your own coin) policy, you have the flexibility to process these operations in a variety of coins. You can use wrapped MPC (wMPC), ETH, wBTC, or USDT from Ethereum; BNB from BNB Chain; or MATIC or USDC from Polygon.

Step 2: Connect your wallet to Sceptre for Partisia

Before staking, you'll need to transfer your MPC to the wallet you plan to use with Sceptre for Partisia. We support a wide range of browser and external wallets, making it easy to use the one you're most comfortable with. After the transfer, simply launch the Sceptre for Partisia app and select "Connect Wallet". Sceptre for Partisia currently supports 1 hardware wallet (Ledger) and 3 browser wallets (Metamask, and Koala and Parti via WalletConnect). Step 3: Enter the MPC amount you want to stake

After connecting your wallet, you can stake any amount of MPC on Sceptre for Partisia – there are no minimum or maximum limits.

You'll see the MPC:sMPC exchange rate displayed below the input field. This rate determines how much sMPC you'll receive in your wallet after staking.

sMPC is a reward-bearing token. The exchange rate starts at 1:1 and will increase over time as staking rewards are collected and added to the pool. Since staking is automated, your earned rewards are added back into your stake, allowing your holdings to grow exponentially over time through the power of compounding. When you decide to unstake, you'll receive all the MPC accumulated during your staking period.

Step 4: Confirm your stake

After deciding your staking amount, simply click "Stake" and confirm the transaction in your wallet. The BYOC tokens we mentioned in step 1 are now used to cover the gas payments for this transaction.

Once confirmed, your stake on Sceptre will be active, and your sMPC will appear in your wallet. You can easily check your sMPC holdings and their current MPC value on the Stake tab.
