With the arrival of May, we look back at a truly engaging April for Sceptre. Last month was marked by innovation and connection, as we proudly launched a much-anticipated new feature on our platform. The Flare Factor continued to spark insightful conversations, and we were particularly heartened by the remarkable emergence of a vibrant new Flare community overseas. Let's explore the highlights of April 2025.
The Flare Factor with Oxen Flow
Just as in March, April brought us a single, but captivating, episode of The Flare Factor. We had the pleasure of hosting Nicholas Lobue from Oxen Flow, the cutting-edge iOS crypto wallet specifically designed to leverage Flare's distinctive capabilities. Nicholas guided us through Oxen Flow's impressive features and thoughtfully answered our audience’s questions. You can catch the full episode here:
Big in Japan
Our mission to connect with the global Flare community took an exciting step forward this month. The engaged Japanese Flare community contacted us via X with a request to translate and share our content, which we were more than happy to fulfill. Seeing such passionate organic engagement from community members fills us with joy and we couldn’t be more happy to contribute to Flare’s growth!
sFLR on perps on SparkDEX
Last month, SparkDEX announced that sFLR could be used as collateral for perpetual futures (perps) on their platform, a significant expansion of sFLR's utility. In order to introduce our community to the world of perps, we published a blog post covering what they are, their common use cases, and how sFLR holders can participate on SparkDEX. sFLR has been a massive success on SparkDEX, quickly becoming the largest liquidity pool for perps on the platform.
Explore sFLR earn opportunities on Sceptre
We finally added an Earn tab to the Sceptre app, providing a centralized view of most sFLR earning opportunities available. Organized by protocol, these opportunities provide key details such as APY/APR (where available), Total Value Locked (TVL), and any applicable fees. This data is pulled directly from each protocol's API, meaning its accuracy and completeness are the responsibility of the respective protocol. If your sFLR is just sitting in your wallet, we invite you to open Sceptre and check out these opportunities, but remember: always do your research and don’t jump into anything you don’t understand.
See you all next month!
