How do I unstake from Sceptre for Partisia?

Unstaking from Sceptre for Partisia is a very simple process. Simply go to the Unstake tab on the app and input the amount of sMPC you wish to unstake. The token’s exchange rate is applied and the corresponding amount of MPC you’re entitled to is displayed below the input field.

After confirming the operation in your wallet, your unstaking order will be placed and a 14 days cooldown period starts, after which your MPC will be available for claiming to your wallet.

What happens when I unstake from Sceptre for Partisia?

When you choose to unstake from Sceptre for Partisia, your sMPC will be returned, and you'll receive the equivalent amount of MPC based on the current exchange rate. After a 2-week (14 days) unbonding period, your MPC will become available for claim in the "Claim" section of the app. You will have 48 hours to claim the MPC back to your wallet. An option to add the event to your calendar is provided to help you remember to claim your tokens.

Why do I have to wait 2 weeks to get my tokens back?

Unstaking tokens on the Partisia Blockchain involves a variable timeline ranging between 7 and 14 days. The baseline cooldown period for standard unstaking requires a mandatory 7-day waiting period. However, this timeframe can extend up to 14 days due to specific operational nuances which require a pending acceptance step. For this reason, the cooldown period on Sceptre is set at 14 days.

That’s a long time. What if I don’t have 2 weeks?

If you feel like 2 weeks is too long, you can bypass the cooldown period by swapping sMPC for a token of your choice on zkCross, a DEX operated by the Partisia network. Keep in mind that their exchange rate might be different from Sceptre’s.

What happens to my stake during those 2 weeks?

During the 2-week cooldown period, your stake will keep accruing rewards, which you will receive once that period is over.

What happens if I forget to claim my tokens within 48 hours?

If you forget to claim your MPC within 48 hours, it will be automatically restaked and you will have to unstake it again. Don’t forget to add the claim reminder to your calendar to prevent this.
