Sceptre monthly recap July 2025

August was a quiet month for the Sceptre team as some of us took a well-deserved vacation. While we're putting the final touches on Sceptre for Partisia, things kept moving on Flare and this blog post will bring you up to speed on everything that happened with Sceptre in that ecosystem in August.

Sceptre staking on Luminite Wallet

One of the most exciting developments this month on Flare was the launch of Luminite Wallet by SparkDEX. This wallet, built specifically for the Flare ecosystem, offers a seamless and user-friendly experience for both newcomers and existing users. It's a huge step forward for the ecosystem because it integrates key services like swapping, bridging, and most importantly for us, native FLR and wFLR staking with Sceptre. Luminite Wallet also addresses a major hurdle for new users by allowing them to purchase their first crypto on Flare using fiat currency, removing the need to go to one of the major exchanges. If you haven't explored the wallet yet, it's definitely worth checking out!

Sceptre Joins the Meme Coin Party on SparkDEX

We had a crazy idea: what if we blended the serious world of Sceptre with the fun of meme coins? The result is the sFLR/BUGO liquidity pool on SparkDEX. Our team has noticed that many in the Sceptre community, especially on Discord, are big fans of BUGO. But this isn't just a meme—it's a meme with serious returns. We decided to join the fun and launched a small liquidity pool on August 19th that's offering an attractive APY. This move is a little out of character for us, but we hope our community enjoys this bit of fun.

The Flare Factor is back!

Finally, after more than a month away for a deserved break, the Flare Factor returned at the end of August for a new episode! Riding on Luminite Wallet’s hype, Lex invited Anna from SparkDEX to talk about this new project and all the many developments on SparkDEX itself since we last had her, a few months ago. If you weren’t able to watch the episode live, you can catch it here:
